Creating custom searches

Conga Collaborate's search functionality gives the ability to create and save custom search filters.  Using the Advanced Search functionality, you can build custom searches and save them for later use.  Searches are saved on a per-user basis.

Make documents and content easy to find by saving specific criteria to filter on.  For example, if you want to see only accepted documents owned by a specific employee, you can use the Advanced Search builder to create and save that search for easy re-uses.

Use these steps to build a custom search filter:

  1. From the Documents or Content page, click Advanced under the search field.
  2. In the pop-up window, select the search parameters you want.
    • Available search options for Content:
      • Content ID
      • Owner
      • Body content
      • Created date
      • Expiration date
      • Content type
      • Tag
      • Name
      • Updated date
    • Available search options for Documents:
      • Accepted date
      • Body content
      • Created date
      • Client
      • Document description
      • Expiration date
      • Document name
      • Owner
      • Published date
      • Document status
      • Tag
      • Document type
      • Document value
      • Any metadata fields you have created
  3. Set the search criteria logic using the selector for All, Any, or None.
  4. Click Search.
  5. Click Save on the right side of the search bar.
  6. Name your search in the field on the left side of your screen.

Once a custom search has been saved, it can be renamed or deleted, but the search criteria can no longer be edited.  In order to update the search criteria, create a new custom search and save it using the Save button in the search bar.
