1. Create a custom Conga Composer home page link.
  2. Create a QuickMerge link and customize the page.
  3. Create reports to gather the Data and Image URLs.
  4. Update the home page link to tie it all together.
  5. Click Setup >  Customize > Home >  Custom Links. Click New for a New Custom Link.
  1. Name your link then paste this into the Button or Link URL section and save:

Note that we used the User.Id for this home page link.  Don’t worry – you’ll get all the data you request in your report.   We use the User.Id so that this solution isn’t tied to one object.  It really has no bearing on your data.

  1. Now create a Home Page Component (if you wish or you can add the link to an existing Component).
  2. After you create your Home page component, add the Dashboard Report link to show.

  1. Next add your new component to your layout.  Click Home Page Layouts and check the box next to your new component.
  2. On the next page you can order your Components.  This is how they will show on your Home page.
  3. Save

You now have a basic Composer Home page link, and a new Component that is available on the home page.  The next step is to create your QuickMerge link.  (If you don’t yet have QuickMerge installed, visit our Installation Links page).
  1. Click All Tabs> QuickMerge Links >  New.
  2. Select PointMerge.
  3. Give the QuickMerge Link a name and description.
  4. Click Save.
  1. We now need to customize the QuickMerge layout.  We need to create a few custom fields to  access your images for the dashboard.
  2. Go to Setup > Create > Objects > QuickMerge Link.  Under the Custom Fields & Relationships section, click New and create 6 fields (or however many you need for your solution).  3 Text fields for the name of the Dashboard and 3 Long Text Area fields that will hold the URL of the Dashboard image.  I call these:
  • Image 1 Title
  • Image 1 URL
  • Image 2 Title
  • Image 2 URL (and so on)
Now that your fields have been created, add a section to your QuickMerge Link object and add the new fields to it.
  1. Click Edit Layout on the QuickMerge object.
  2. Add a section to your layout and give it a name.
  3. Move all your new Image Title and URL fields to this section.
  4. Click Save.

Now we need to add the Image URLs from each of your dashboards to the QuickMerge page:
  1. Go to your dashboard, right click and select Copy Image Location (or the relevant selection depending on which browser you are using).
  2. Now paste this URL into the correct Image field in QuickMerge and repeat for the rest of your dashboards.

Now you could simply merge the dashboard images into a simple Word document that would look something like this:

To customize this even further, we can add reports from these dashboards to show any specific fields and the relevant data just as you would with any Conga Composer Button/Link.
  1. Click on a dashboard.  (I’m using “Transaction by Status” for example.)
  2. Clone this report, remove all fields, and add in just the fields you need in your output.
  1. Next customize the "Home Page Link" and add in any specific parameters for your solution. See the Conga Composer Parameter Guide for a complete list.

This is the output file after the parameters have been added to the button:

Here is what the template would look like. Note the TableStart and TableEnd fields for each dataset (Status, Commission, Offers and QM for our QuickMerge Images).

Make sure you add in the OCNR parameter so your solution doesn't refresh to the user record.

You'll need to add "?pv0=" to the end of each of your report Id's in your button so that Conga engine doesn't filter for a specific record.

This solution is showing how to merge this solution from a Home Page Link. You could instead use the QuickMerge record to execute your solution.
